Custom Window Stickers — Optically Clear Vinyl, One Piece, Inside or Outside the Glass, Printed in Toronto

If you've ever put a transfer sticker on a shop window, you know the job: a sheet of transfer tape, a squeegee, a prayer that every letter sticks before the tape comes off, and one that didn't. Window stickers are the other way to do it. Your whole design — name, hours, logo, the lot — is printed in full colour on an optically clear vinyl and arrives as one piece. You peel it, you stick it, and on the glass it's hard to tell it's one piece at all. We print them at our shop in North York, Toronto, any size up to 48" × 48", for the inside or the outside of the glass.

Why not a transfer sticker

A transfer sticker is cut vinyl: each letter and shape is a separate piece, held in position by a layer of transfer tape until it's on the glass. The bigger the design, the harder that is to do cleanly, and any character that didn't adhere fully during installation starts peeling on its own. Full colour on cut vinyl costs more, too, because each colour is its own layer. A window sticker has none of that. One printed piece, every colour at once, no tape, nothing to line up. The clear film is what gives you the transfer-sticker look without the transfer-sticker install.

What you're getting

An optically clear, weather-resistant vinyl, printed with UV inks the same way as our clear stickers, with no laminate on top. Clear film has a catch: ink on its own is see-through, so a red logo on a window would read as pink glass. We print a layer of white ink behind the colour automatically, so your colours sit solid on the glass the way they sit on a screen. If your design has white in it — white text, a white outline — the white is printed too; white on its own is available where that's all you need. Cut to your artwork's outline, so there's no visible edge around the design.

Inside or outside the glass

You choose when you order. Inside means the sticker goes on the inside of the window with the design facing out: we mirror the print and put the adhesive on the printed side, so from the street it reads the right way round. The glass then protects the vinyl and the ink from rain, snow and sun, and cleaning the window is just cleaning the window. That's the choice for a storefront. Outside is the standard sticker: adhesive on the back, design facing you, for glass you can't reach from the inside or anything that isn't a window. In the calculator this is the Adhesive Location menu: Front Adhesive for inside, Back Adhesive for outside.

Sizes and price

Any size up to 48" × 48" in one piece, cut to the artwork's outline, rounded corners, oval/round, or rectangle/square. The presets on this page are small-sticker sizes — 2" × 2", 3" × 3" and 4" × 4" — for a batch of logo decals or product labels on glass. For a window piece, choose Custom Size, enter the width and height, choose Custom Quantity and enter the number you need. One is a normal order. Live prices as of October 8, 2026, before tax:

Four designs, one order

Upload up to 4 artwork files in a single order and split the quantity between them any way you like. Mixed sizes are fine; the order is priced at the largest size in the batch. The logo for the door, the hours for beside it and a graphic for the big window can go in as one order.

Putting it on, taking it off

Clean the glass and let it dry — anything left on the glass ends up under the sticker. Decide exactly where it goes before it touches: the film is clear, so position it against the glass, mark the corners with tape, peel from one edge and press it on from that edge outward with a card so you don't trap air. For a big piece, tape the top edge in place first and peel the liner down in stages. When you're done with it, it comes off easily. It's printed with UV inks, which are UV resistant, so a south-facing window isn't a problem.

What goes on glass

Shop hours and a logo on the front door. A restaurant's name across the window, read from the sidewalk. Office and meeting-room glass. A seasonal promotion that comes down in January. Whatever you'd have paid a sign shop to cut and install in pieces, printed as one piece instead.

Ordering

Upload a PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG or PSD — vector files are best for logos and text, which is most of what goes on a window; tell us in the order notes if any part of the design is meant to stay clear rather than white. Enter your size, quantity and cut, choose the adhesive location — Front Adhesive for inside, Back Adhesive for outside — and check out. You get a digital proof, usually within 24 hours, showing the exact cut line and which areas print white; if something's off, we revise it at no charge. Approve it and production takes 1–3 business days, then it ships or is ready for pickup.

Questions we get

Is this a transfer sticker? No. A transfer sticker is cut vinyl in pieces under transfer tape. This is one printed piece on clear film — no tape, no weeding, nothing to line up.

Will my colours look washed out on the glass? No. White ink is printed behind the colour automatically, so colours stay solid.

Can I have white in my design? Yes. White prints as white, on its own or under colour.

Inside or outside — which do I pick? Inside for a storefront window: we mirror the print, the glass protects it from the weather, and the window stays easy to clean. Outside when you can't get to the inside of the glass. In the calculator, inside is Front Adhesive and outside is Back Adhesive.

Is it laminated? No. The UV inks and the weather-resistant vinyl are the protection — that's it.

Does it fade in the sun? It's printed with UV inks, which are UV resistant.

Does it come off? Yes, easily, when the time comes.

What's the largest size? 48" × 48" in one piece.

Is there a minimum order? No. One is a normal order.

Do you ship to the United States? Yes — free shipping on orders over $100. Any US tariffs are charged on delivery and are the buyer's responsibility.
